Bath, Bath Bombs

Cyanide Pill Bath Bomb

Somedays there’s nothing you want more than some good old cyanide. But if you’re ever feeling down, try reaching for this bath bomb instead of a pill.

A cyanide pill, otherwise known as a suicide pill is exactly that. Filled with deadly potassium cyanide, throughout history many people have met their end biting down on one of these bad boys.

Cyanide reportedly smells like bitter almonds, so maybe that’s where the scent of this Oxford Street exclusive product comes from. Cyanide Pill Bath Bomb contains Almond Essential Oil, giving off a sweet, marzipan note. Along with uplifting and cleansing Lemon Oil and toning, earthy Cedarwood and Rosewood Oils, the scent is something unique and grounding, in like, a sweet way…

Once popped into the water, clouds of acid yellow come off one half, whilst the white half fizzes away, engulfed in the strong colour. Then something happened that I definitely wasn’t expecting. I had read the ingredients list, so I knew that glitter (in this case we have Synthetic Fluorphlogophite) was going to make an appearance, I just didn’t know how much. Once the ballistic had completely dissolved, I noticed that almost covering the surface of the water, were silver sparkles, and a lot of it! I’m guessing it’s meant to represent the actual poison coming out of the pill.  Interestingly it all bunched up at first but once I wiggled my arms around, the whole bathtub was filled with it! Definitely one of the most glitter filled bath bombs I must say, I got out and was legit COVERED in sparkles and I was living tbh.

The addition of Popping Candy into the mix, just makes it cooler, hearing it pop away under you is really exciting.

I found that once I was out of the bath, although I didn’t have a strong scent left, and I was covered in glitter, I was feeling really cleansed and refreshed, thanks to the Lemon Oil in there. Cedarwood Oil is toning and balancing too so it’s good for those with oilier skins.

The only disappointment was that the smell didn’t linger as long as I had hoped it would. Though the glitter remained for days, the scent was practically gone after an hour or so.

I would definitely buy again at some point in the future as it was a lovely bath bomb. You can check it out and purchase it at the store on Oxford Street or online here.
