Shower, Shower Bombs

Koyaanisqatsi Shower Bomb

(Koi-yarn-ee-scat-see) means ‘life out of balance’ or ‘chaotic life’ in the Hopi language. The Hopi are a Native American tribe primarily living in Arizona.

As mentioned in my previous post Sleepy Shower Bomb, I was a little apprehensive to try the Shower Bombs at first. But I don’t think they are as bad as you think they’re going to be.

Koyaanisqatsi didn’t foam up so quickly or as much as Sleepy did, but it was just as soft in my opinion, thanks to the Potato Starch and Sodium Alginate, which is derived from Seaweed. Both of these are what give the Shower Bombs their skin softening qualities.

I also didn’t find it as exfoliating as Sleepy. Koyaanisqatsi doesn’t have an exfoliant in it so it feels smoother when rubbing it in.

The scent is quite relaxing, according to the product description it’s intended to clear your mind, help you slow down and take control. The ample amount of Lavender and it’s cousin Lavandin sure does just that. Lavender has been used in aromatherapy for thousands of years to settle nerves and relax the mind.

Although it sounds very similar, the addition of Violet Leaf and Ylang Ylang add a subtle floral hint which makes this shower bomb’s scent different to Sleepy/Twilight. It’s very similar to Ickle Baby Bot.

I noticed after a while, you couldn’t really seem to get much more out of it. It stopped foaming and just became hard and solid, which I ended up letting go down the plug hole, which was quite disappointing, considering I got so much out of Sleepy.

Here it is on the Lush UK website.
