Milky Bar Soap

Look at how adorable these little guys are!

Yes, these are suitable for Vegans! They do contain milk, but it’s Soya Milk! With a soap base made from the usual Rapeseed and Coconut Oils, Soya Milk is one of the main ingredients and it makes this soap lovely and creamy. Soya Milk also contains lots of antioxidant Vitamin B and has soothing and calming properties. Milky Bar also contains extra Coconut Oil too, adding to the silky smooth lather and helping your skin feel ultra smooth.

I wouldn’t say this soap is amazingly moisturising, but it certainly isn’t drying either. It’s a nice balance in between and it’s perfect for helping sooth irritated hands and skin. Personally I’d prefer to use this particular soap as a hand soap only, but plenty do use it in the shower and I can see why.

You’d imagine that this soap smells like it sounds, something milky and powdery, and while you aren’t completely wrong, the main scent here is Brazilian Orange and Patchouli. This gives this soap a rather unique scent which is hard to describe, kinda like milky orange, which makes it sound gross but it’s not at all!

The scent is rather fresh and pleasant, almost like those candles that smell like fresh linen and whatnot, and it stays on your hands for a good while after.

Like most of Lush’s soaps, Milky Bar is a strong, solid soap that lasts a long time. A great thing about the individual pieces like those in the picture, is that they stand up nicely like cute lil milk bottles would, allowing them to dry faster after using. I think the individually made bars are much nicer than the chunks cut from the giant piece but that’s the same with nearly all the soaps on offer.

It’s not something I’d use often, though it is a nice soap, I do believe there are nicer, more exciting soaps to try and the bubble bar in the same scent, Milky Bath is a lot nicer in my opinion.
