Chocolate Lip Scrub

A lip scrub is basically just a lip exfoliator to polish and scrub away any bits of dry skin. As a bonus, Lush have made their Lip Scrubs extra tasty and you’ll want to be applying it all day long!

Chocolate Lip Scrub originally appeared as an exclusive via the Lush Kitchen, however it proved to be so popular, Lush added it to their main Lip Scrub collection.

Chocolate smells like, you guessed it, chocolate! The typical Lip Scrub blend of Jojoba Oil and Caster Sugar is this time mixed with Vanilla Absolute, Cocoa Absolute, Cocoa Powder and actual Dark Chocolate to give it it’s colour and flavour.

Saying this though, it’s actually supposed to be more of a sweet Chocolate Orange scent and taste as it also contains Tangerine Oil and Sweet Orange Oil which gives it a nice juicy kick and leaves your lips refreshed.

To me it kinda tastes more like, shall we say a sweet ‘standard dark chocolate flavouring’ than actual chocolate but it’s still something I’m happy to indulge in occasionally, though whilst it’s not as sweet as Bubblegum Lip Scrub, personally I find it can be a little sickly. Though I do find the actual scrub itself effective and quite moisturising and buttery which is definitely a good thing.

Jojoba Oil is the perfect ingredient for this type of product as because of it’s close structure to the skin’s own sebum, it’s easily and quickly absorbed by the skin.
