I am in love with Monster’s Ball Bath Bomb. It not only features one of my favourite uplifting scents but also makes for incredibly pretty bath art!
This seasonal exclusive product first appeared during Halloween 2016 and has come back for Halloween’s both 2017 and 2018 because it proved to be so popular!
It’s such an adorable and unique bath bomb, it’s a pink ball-shaped monster who has blue horns and one big eye, what’s not to love?
It shares it’s scent with the Calacas range and if you’ve not had a chance to smell anything in this range then baby you are missing out! With a trio of Lime, Neroli and Olibanum Oils, it’s a zesty, refreshing and uplifting smell that is incredible at energising and boosting your mood.
I’d say that in this bath bomb format, the scent is slightly less powerful than something like Calacas Shower Gel, there seems to be less Lime Oil as Monster’s Ball smells less zesty compared to other Calacas products. It’s more of a powdery version of Calacas if that makes sense.
A great thing about Lime and Neroli Oils is that they are toning and brightening for the skin giving you a natural glow. Meanwhile sweet and woody Olibanum oil is great for protecting and softening the skin, and helps improve the skin’s natural firmness.
They’ve also added Himalayan Salt which softens the water and therefore gives you equally soft skin.
Once popped into the bath, Monster’s Ball is a slow fizzer, great if you love to watch a bath bomb slowly dissolve and turn the water into magical layer upon layer of bath art. Because of the addition of Cream of Tartar, it also foams a lot while it fizzes. First of all, the water remains relatively pink as is the main colour of the ballistic. Then, once the water reaches the hidden blue centre, Monster’s Ball really puts on a show dispersing both pink and blue ribbons of colour into the newly purple water.
Where the scent is so strong, it fills your whole bathroom with the fab aroma, making for a happy mood-enhancing bath. It also stays with you for such a long time! I can literally still smell it subtly on my skin a day after!
Once all the colour has mixed together, you’re left with a deep purple coloured water that’s filled with silvery sparkles.
I absolutely love this Bath Bomb and it could potentially be one of my favourites ever. I’ll genuinely be gutted if they ever chose to replace it one Halloween.
