Bath, Bath Bombs

Santa Bomb Bomb Bath Bomb

For their Christmas range this year, Lush released three new bath bombs called ‘Bomb Bombs’, which are two in one bath bombs comprised of a head and a body.

Alongside a Princess and a Snowman, a Santa Bomb Bomb was also released, apparently smelling of strawberries and cream.

Looking like a traditional Santa, his head bath bomb is mostly comprised of a big white beard with a small red hat, whereas his body is more traditionally spherical with a belt, buckle and arms.

The idea is you can use it as one giant bath bomb or in two baths, but of course, I did the former. Santa’s a really fast fizzer, immediately and quite loudly fizzing away turning the bath water into a vibrant red colour. There’s something I really enjoy about bathing in red baths as it’s a colour that’s not often featured in a bath bomb.

Sadly, there wasn’t much in terms of any bath art other than a few wispy waves of white throughout the deep crimson.

The strawberries and cream scent I was talking about is actually Cocoa Absolute, Vanilla Absolute and Bergamot Oil, which I never would have guessed from smelling it. To me, the scent is a lot fruitier than what I’d expect those three fragrances to make. It’s sweet and almost berryish, which is why I guess Lush say it smells of strawberries.

I actually really like the smell though, and I’d really enjoy other products featuring it. I think it would make a really nice massage bar or shower scrub so hopefully Lush decide to keep it around for the future!

Sadly although the actual product smells quite potent, it doesn’t have much strength after dissolving and the only memory of it on my skin was just the generic clean feeling, which was kinda dissappointing.

In conclusion, the Bomb Bombs are cute (not you Princess), but I probably wouldn’t use each one again as other than the fact they come in pairs, there’s nothing that special about them.
