Bath, Bubble Bars, Reusable Bubble Bars

Magic Wand Reusable Bubble Bar

Magic Wand is a product that has been a staple of the Christmas Range for a good few years now and will no doubt continue to be. It makes a great stocking filler as it looks so cute and the silver bell and ribbon tied around the wooden stick is a really nice touch. It proves to be popular year after year!

As you can imagine by the pink colour and glittery design, its Snow Fairy scented and is one of the main reasons for its popularity. Now I’m not a Snow Fairy superfan like some hardcore Lushies out there, but I can appreciate the sweet-smelling candy floss fragrance that it’s known for and was looking forward to my first bath with Magic Wand. If you didn’t know, the Snow Fairy range of products are scented with Synthetic Musk. Lush produce the sensual fragrance of Musk synthetically due to the incredibly cruel way in which natural musk is obtained from animals.

As a reusable bubble bar, you can potentially get around five or six decent baths out of a single wand so it’s really good for the money. You can either hold your Magic Wand under the running tap water, or swirl it around in the water of an already full bath until you’ve got enough bubbles. If you choose the latter option it’ll probably last longer!

With the running tap method you get a lot more bubbles and this is the option I chose for my bath this evening, I used about a third of mine and managed to get a mountain of fluffy white bubbles with Snow Fairy pink water below.

Whilst both the water and the bubbles felt lovely and soft on my skin, I was a little disappointed with the lack of scent. Where was the powerful Snow Fairy smell I was after? Gone, quite frankly, as I couldn’t smell anything. Furthermore, I was expecting the glitter to be a bit more prevalent in the water, considering Snow Fairies are all about sparkles but sadly there wasn’t that much.

On the whole, I think Magic Wand is a great novelty product to buy at Christmas and little boys and girls really love it, but I personally think it could be made so much better with a little tweaking! I guess we’ll see what next year’s version will bring.
