For their 2018 Christmas Range, Lush released three new bath bombs called ‘Bomb Bombs’, which are basically two-in-one bath bombs comprised of a head and a body. There was a Santa, a Princess and a Snowman.
Snowman is pretty generically designed with a round head, a round body and a blue hat and scarf. The only odd thing is the orange nose, which I guess is meant to represent a carrot but looks somewhat strange and more like a mouth, giving Snowman an odd shocked expression.
Snowman is scented with Spearmint Oil, which gives it an icy vibe and suits the product well. I feel like mint and ice/snow go well together, mostly because mint has a stimulating, yet cooling effect on the skin. Using it in a bath bomb results in a bath that’s great for relieving tired muscular pains and for cooling any redness such as sunburn.
I opted to use both the head and body at the same time, though you could use each seperately. It started fizzing as soon as it made contact with the water, and shades of blue intertwined with cloudy white. Very quickly, the bombs had disappeared and I was left with a pale, baby blue colour.
I had hoped for more of the tingling sensation that often comes with mint-based products as my legs had been aching the whole day but it wasn’t as strong as I had wanted. Although the energising aroma of the mint stuck around throughout my bath, there was no memory of it on my skin after, sadly.
I wonder if Snowman and the other Bomb Bombs will make a return next year? Would you miss them if they didn’t?
