Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb

Shoot For The Stars is yet another Christmas exclusive that feels like it’s been around forever. It first appeared for Christmas 2013, although it looked much different and didn’t sport this vibrant blue design with the three golden stars embedded into the surface until 2016. As the last of my Christmas bath products, I feel it was a great one to end on.

Shoot For The Stars shares it’s scent with the popular ‘Honey I Washed The Kids’ scent, which is a delicious, honey scented fragrance reminiscent of fudge and caramel sweets. Although mostly unnoticeable in the background of the scent, theres a citrus note which comes from the fruitiness of Orange and Bergamot Oils and is actually what makes up the biggest portion of the scent, surprisingly.

I actually think that this particular bath bomb has a much stronger scent than the Honey I Washed The Kids Soap, so its perfect if you’re a big fan. Furthermore, a high amount of rich Cocoa Butter and Creamed Coconut add a buttery warmth that makes it ever so comforting.

As you can imagine with such a vivid colour, once in the bath an explosion of blue jets into the water, colouring it with the same vivid pigment as the ballistic itself. It’s such a beautiful colour, it gets top marks for simply just that! As it dissolves, the golden stars detach and float off. Even though there’s only three visible stars, there’s often one or two hidden in the centre of the bomb which is a nice surprise! The stars act very much like bath melts, imbuing the water with the Cocoa Butter & Almond Oil goodness and adding specks of gold into the blue. You’ll definitely notice how oily and rich the water feels once they’ve fully melted and you’ll appreciate the silky smooth feeling on your skin. If you’re someone who suffers from drying winter skin, then this would be an excellent way of combating it.

The scent was just as prevalent in the water as it was to begin with and likewise on my skin after. I definitely feel no need to moisturise whenever I use a Shoot For The Stars but feel free to if you so wish.

I can’t imagine that Lush have any plans to discontinue this fab product anytime soon, so I expect we’ll see it return for 2019’s range!
