Olive Branch Bath Bomb

The Olive Branch has always been high on my list of favourite Shower Gels, thanks to it’s subtle, yet uplifting and warming scent, so naturally I was very pleased at the chance to experience it in a bath bomb format! Olive Branch Bath Bomb was released in December as part of the community favourites range and it soon made its way onto my Christmas list and therefore under my tree.

Upon first sniff, I instantly recognised the reassuring scent of Olive Branch, and I was happy to find it to be more strongly scented than the shower gel, as I feel the quiet and easily overpowered scent of the gel can be a downside. Although firmly citrus based with Lemon, Bergamot and Red Mandarin Oils making up the forefront of the scent, theres also a floral kick underneath from Orange Flower Absolute, which ties the scent together with fresh green notes. It’s a delicate, yet incredibly warming and soothing scent which is perfect for a tranquil moment to yourself.

The actual bath bomb is stunningly designed and I feel the swirly orange and white pattern fits the scent family well. When placed in the water, it quickly dispels the orange and white patterns into the water surrounding it and the scent is elevated into the room. The water soon turned a shade of warm orange and invited me to take a dip.

The water itself was superbly soft, an element that I noticed on my skin after too. Olive Branch, like the shower gel, is also full of nourishing Olive Oil as expected, to moisturise and protect the skin. It’s not as oily as the likes of Butterball or other butter filled bombs but it does the job just as well.

I was really pleased with this bath bomb, I think perhaps the best part of it is simply how strong the scent is, it even left an impression on my skin for a while after towelling off. Whilst I’m not sure it would be a best seller if it was launched in all stores but perhaps it would make a great Oxford Street exclusive? Either way, I do hope I have the chance to use it again.
