Wild Butterfly Bath Bomb

The second of the butterfly shaped Mother’s Day exclusive bath bombs I chose to use was Wild Butterfly, so called because of the Sweet Wild Orange Oil it contains!

Wild Butterfly has a scent that is very similar to Christmas 2017’s Berry Berry Christmas Shower Gel but there’s a slight difference. Whilst still containing the Orange and the Olive Leaf Absolute, it features Petitgrain instead of Bergamot. It’s a strong, unique scent that can be slightly off putting at first, but if you really take it in, I find it really warming. The herbaceous Olive Leaf and Petitgrain give a strong woody note to the scent which is what I can first pick out in the fragrance, whereas the uplifting smell of the Sweet Wild Orange in the background is possibly what saves the scent from being too bitter. Like I said, if you don’t like it at first, give it another chance and see what you think. Petitgrain is thought to help reduce anxiety and mental fatigue, which after a couple of stressful days was really what I needed.

Once placed in the water, much like Rose Butterfly, this one didn’t float well either so I got the best pictures I could. Yet it still made for a really pretty show, vivid oranges and yellows were streaming out of it creating gorgeous patterns before settling into a warming sunset orange bath that had sparkly glitter floating throughout. Furthermore, as it fizzed, the aroma really lifted and filled the room. Unlike Rose Butterfly, I found that this one dissolved at a much slower rate and I found myself watching it for a good six minutes.

I really like to meditate in the bath as I find it’s the perfect place for clearing my mind and I found that after my bath with Wild Butterfly, I was so calm and grounded. I usually am after a bath but there was something that made me feel even more so with this one. I really felt at peace and was ready to chill out for the rest of the evening.

Once I was out, my skin was still emanating the earthy scent, it felt silky soft and also had a slight glimmer in the light from the lustre. If you really hate glitter, don’t worry too much, as it’s only a little and you can easily wash it off after your bath.

To conclude, I’m loving these butterflies so far, I can’t wait to try out the last one even if it’s scent doesn’t appeal to me as much as the other two!
